  Derivative slop. None of the characters were personalized enough to really care for, and some of the tense moments fell flat since they felt manufactured or coincidental.

  A classic that I haven’t rewatched since childhood. The philosophical depth, intricate story, and cinematic direction are much more than a dim image in a mirror. 

  Anyways, I really hope they can nail the casting of Kusanagi for the live action reboot. It would be a shame if this brilliant piece of cinema got white washed.
