I could probably quote this entire film if you asked me to. I love Spider-Man, he's my favorite superhero, and this movie really did that character justice.

This is a superhero comic film adaptation that doesn't try to pretend like it isn't from a comic book. So much of this film feels pulled straight from the O.G. Spider-Man comics from the Golden Age (60s-70s) all the way down to how certain scenes are shot and composed.

I can't help but feel like this is when Rocky as a franchise transitioned from a Josei/Slice of Life anime to a fully fledged Shounen (disgusting weeaboo reference, my apologies). The transition happens like halfway through Rocky II, and it stays that way until Rocky V and then returns to Shounen in Rocky Balboa and the CREED films.
