Angels & Demons 2009
A follow up to The Da Vinci Code, this movie seemed to start off strong with an interesting premise and intriguing mystery, but slowly began to treat the audience as too stupid to follow along. The first two acts of the movie remained fairly solid allowing Tom Hanks to do his usual historical detective work. However, the final act reduced his character to the intellect of Dora the Explorer asking Boots where the sky was.
The villain was predictable 20 minutes in and merely folded by the end.
The acting was good, but couldn’t compensate for the writers just giving up half way through the movie.
