A wonderful combination of archival photographs and excellent commentary, Ken Burns brings both the human and historical dimensions of the conflict to life! I find it so intriguing that only around 5,000 photos of America's bloodiest battle exist on this planet! I did wish the background music was a little more quiet.

Mysterious Skin 2004
I found the movie to be a truly haunting experience. It effectively depicted how two people who underwent the same traumatic event still managed to cope differently as one became hypersexual while the other blocked the event out completely and turned to a supernatural explanation thus highlighting the lengths to which they can go to block out horrific events. Joseph Gordon Levitt's performance as Neil was particularly striking as he beautifully captured Neil's emptiness and emotional detachment from his actions…
