Obligatory disclaimer that this movie is extremely racist. Can't believe it was shown in the White House when it came out. But I was surprised as how coherent it was while being a silent film. Definitely a landmark in American filmmaking.

The Manchurian Candidate 2004
Enjoyable movie and I love political thrillers. Predictable twists but I don’t think its meant to be shocking. Basically the mom pays to have her son brainwashed so that they and Manchuria Global can own the government even though they already do? Interesting end with investigations. Still not sure why they change the identity of the assassin; did they realize that Denzel was right and they needed him to uncover the conspiracy?
