Disappointing. The storyline had so much potential, but the characters were written poorly, the script was uninspired, and the animation didn’t live up to the hype… I feel like it could’ve been done so much better. Also, I didn’t like the fact that they reused so many scenes from the lotr saga while ignoring the rest of Tolkien's literature that they could’ve used for inspiration—such a shame. It felt like cheap clickbait for the fans. The only reason I gave it 3.5 stars is because they reused the lotr music, which you cannot ruin, and because of the respect I have for Jackson's productions.
