Holy moly. I celebrated finishing my first ever solo stand up show last night by coming home and watching this movie and I’m so glad those two experiences are forever fused in my memory. I cannot believe I made it to 33 without seeing this film, it’s the most Me coded movie I’ve ever seen. Nicole Kidman is a revelation, and Sandra bullock is wonderful. The quiet belief in women and reminder that covens are there when we most need them? YES PLEASE.
Also it’s amazing to me that a film can be oddly subtle while also being quite graphic. Stunning.
