  Hated the first 12 or so episodes, but got quite into it once it dove into mythology, psychological horror, experimental visuals, and the Childhood's End-style soul-merging. That said, I'm with those who say the original ending sufficed.

  Saw Tropic Thunder a few weeks ago, so the scene from the poster had me in stitches. Otherwise, it's pretty good, tonally comparable with the new All Quiet on the Western Front. Peaks in the middle with the haunting village scene and the clash of the two squad leaders.
