I thinks it's just a pet peeve of mine, but real political footage mixed in a fictional story just gives me the ick.
The topic is important as ever and I really wanted to like this film, but it lost me in the last quater. It was like a psychothriller in the end, not a political thriller or focused on the raw emotions anymore. Sadly, there were some things that weren't logical to me.
An otherwise really important film with some strong scenes, that lost its focus at the end.
I'm not quite sure how I should put this but ...
Unfortunately, this film lost me halfway through. Walls of text. Facts and perspectives, real footage and interviews with survivors. And yet ... it didn't say much. It shows the horror - but not really. It is a documentary - but not really. It wants to ... idk explain? But not really.
Still, the topic is as relevant as ever.

The setdesign was stunning, at times a bit repetitive, but I really enjoyed it. Great sound design. The actors were fantastic.
I have to say ... the first one of the three films had an intersting idea, but was cut short in my opinion.
Second one: loved it. The lil hints? Really cool.
The last one wasn't for me. I think the one plotpoint didn't need the other and there were scenes that were ... unnecessary. Just there for shocking value. Didn't really get it either.
