I’d like to disclose that i went into this film with little to no knowledge as to what it would entail, and thus i deemed it suitable to invite my parents to this fucking film. In fact, the term fucking-film would suit rather well because that is ALL THAT HAPPENS IN FRONT OF MY MUM AND DAD FFS.

Bassam Tariq I love you. This film not only delves into Identity in a way I have never seen expressed before, but also portrays the skewed view of ‘Britishness’ down to a T. Riz Ahmed delivers a performance of a lifetime, and managed to connote every presented feeling with pinpoint accuracy.

This film is beautifully crafted, with putrid colours of green conveying the sadness of the hospital that Zed endures and warm oranges of his home and family.…

The Creator

I was extremely looking forward to watching this film, and for good reason. I, like many, enjoy a solid, well-crafted sci-fi and this looked like 2023’s best candidate.

This film is visually stunning but somewhat narratively average, however, the beautiful shots far outweigh the boring narrative moments. Furthermore, the films pacing was brilliant in my opinion, and for a film with such an expansive world, didn't waste too much time delivering the exposition required, which i really enjoyed.…
