Pretty simple characters but so well done and moving

I watched this a lot as a kid so probably that colors my opinion, but I still think this is one of the funniest movies on a pound for pound, minute by minute basis.

Like all professional movie critics, the only word that comes to mind in reference to this movie is “MONUMENTAL!”

Excellent first half, hokey second half. Meryl is undefeated

Stunning, knee-buckling, a towering achievement: all terms that I can halfheartedly use with this movie, which has some truly amazing moments but also a plot — or rather plot turns — which feels like it exists to support those moments.

Would be much better without any of the non-racing scenes. I didn’t love how this was basically an advertisement for F1 and in a sense the UAE, at least near the end. But maybe there’s no avoiding that when making a movie like this.

Rewatched. Just so entertaining and good.
