this movie hits completely differently on a rewatch. The first time it feels like a coming of age story about an introverted kid trying to find his place in high school but watching it again its obviously more than that. I related to charlie so much more this time because I’ve gone through what he has- his struggles with loneliness, feeling out of place, and carrying the weight of things he doesn’t talk about. It’s not just a story about an introverted kid finding friends. it’s about healing, confronting the past, and realizing it’s okay to let people in.
