  A slap in the face.
  This film manly deals with a subject already treated several times in cinema : the arrival of talking pictures, the first one being Singin' in the Rain (Stanley Donen, Gene Kelly), then followed by Ed Wood (Tim Burton), The Artist (Michel Hazanavicius) and many others.
  We find an aesthetic similar to that of a Baz Lurhmann's film but with a dynamism that is unique to Damien Chazelle. His admiration for jazz, cinema and love stories…
