I really need to stop comparing movies to other movies but i cant help myself. everything this movie had to say or whatever the substance does 1000 times better. i wonder why. same with Whiplash. havent seen Perfect Blue in a while, probably would say something similar.
Natalie Portman did deliver an oscar winning performance. the sexual devious Bruce Springsteen was slimy enough. Mila Kunis, yeah cool.
Its a beautiful movie. just doesnt do it for me.
i know i know the comparisons! i dont care! i really liked this one. particularly hard hitting ending. explores a lot of themes in a way that feels natural if that makes sense. again, i know the comparison. BLACK MIRROR. we get it. but they explore two entirely different things. well done. my favorite of the night unfortunately.
