As you’d hope the sound design is fantastic, though it does rely a bit too heavily on jumpscares. A Quiet Place is suspensful and tense as fuck with great performances across the board.
The ending will bring a smile to your face.

Read the script as a potential financing opportunity & really enjoyed the read. What would’ve been my biggest note around the ideological battle in the first 3rd being too didactic and heavy handed still very much stands though.
That said, generally love the changes to the last 3rd and the back and forth between Skarsgard and Hopkins is really entertaining. The very beginning set up and very end don’t fully land, but those were also probably super last minute additions.

Ready Player One 2018
Really fun and suprisingly very funny. Ready Player One captures the Spielberg wonder, yet not without some stumbles. The first 15 minutes are almost all voice-over exposition which definitely could’ve been done another way, but once you get past that the film really finds its groove.
