The Substance 2024
I thought this would be better with how much everyone talked about it saying it was movie of the year but I don’t really see it…
I loved the concept overall because it was never done before and I enjoyed the body horror but some parts were either dragged for too long (especially the last act) or were poorly executed, for example the two selfs, it was hard not to separate Elisabeth and Sue even though they are supposed to be one.
But overall the effects and the performance of Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley were amazing and made the movie even more enjoyable.

The thing that struck me in this movie after looking up things about it is the fact that the events of the movie were real and that the cast didn’t know who did it while filming it.The ending was truly amazing when detective part broke the 4th wall and looked at us straight…the real killer probably watched the movie and relived his crimes through the movie.
