The Substance 2024
I genuinely don’t know if it was 5 stars or 1, everything about this movie felt like a bad acid trip… or a car crash where you can’t look away.
The film itself has so many features of absolute slop and exposition dumps along with Thor love and thunder CGI flashbacks I can’t wrap my head around if this is the peak of cinema or insanely mid.
Trying to understand the message of this film in any decodable way requires a level of mental gymnastics that I am simply not capable of.
