  okay i mean not a win in the portrayal of women and also that last line just didn’t hit it for me. like it frustrated me. also completely inaccurate depiction of the Japanese film industry in this time but we all know i need to work on my causality fetish in films but damn. 

  it was good yall. it was really damn good. i really enjoyed it and its flow was fantastic. jaw dropped at the end (besides the last line) but the cyclical nature (i borrowed that line from freeman) was lovely

  guys i actually thought this was pretty bad ngl

  i quite enjoyed the idea of exploring religion and hugh grants performance was so good and i enjoyed his dialogue but idk man this just didn’t do it for me. it was weak the cinematography was boring and all over the place the script was just not as strong as it could’ve been besides grants dialogue. i just didn’t enjoy the overarching plot

  gorgeous beautiful stunning horrific soundscape but idk it was missin somethin. if i rewatch it with more outside context i’m sure it’ll be better but i don’t like considering that in a review cause then it’s not focusing on the sole text at hand
