A tighter script could have made it actually great. Too many little clichés and stupid moments that didn't add any extra feeling to the movie.
Watching it as late as I did, the image that stuck to me the most was Spaeny as the younger American, initially too green for the front lines, breezing through the shooting in DC, while the veteran Dunst ends up shell-shocked. Maybe it is really a mirror to current USA, just not in the way they publicized it.
