  Fede Alvarez casually grabbing some of the best bits from previous entries and building a Frankenstein Alien film.

  It feels part reboot, part legacy sequel but stands on its own, particularly thanks to its wild final act (thankfully for once not ruined in any trailers).

  Alvarez has proven he can make me squirm and viscerally react in every one of his films and he delivers again in this one.
