Watched this movie a while ago, honestly cannot remember much about it and did not find it too inspiring or interesting apart from the story which was somewhat original at the beginning but then fell one. A rather above average movie.

10 Things I Hate About You 1999
From a director whose other works have not hit the same chord as "10 Things I Hate About You" has, this movie was surprisingly complex and at times emotional for a cliche High School romance and comedy movie. Although not a deep movie, it does not take itself too seriously and thus becomes a good watch- especially if you like American HS movies from the late 90s/ early 2000s.

Spirited Away 2001
In Spirited Away, Miyazaki was able to create another beautifully crafted universe that we get to explore. From the creatures to the scenery and colors- everything works together with the story to create powerful symbolism that gives us a glimpse inside Miyazaki's mind. Although the pace was a bit slow at times and the story not as moving as I once though- it is still a good movie.

The Substance 2024
In The Substance, Fargeat shows us how beauty standards literally destroys women both physically and mentally until they become someone they themselves no longer can recognize. From botox to fillers and many others procedures, it all can be applied to Fargeat's great analogy. Although a movie with a great message, it does have an issue with pacing and over the top visual effects towards the end. Overall a good movie.
