We really are in a Animation golden age in so many ways. If you haven't gone to watch this movie you got to, genuinely a wonder of a film and an example of the possibilities with animation (and the ability to use the limitations you have as aesthetical decisions).

Ok 2024 now we are talking. I was afraid we were not going to be given a true great film this year but boy was I wrong.
This movie is it. Everything about it is the kind of grand, beautiful, dramatic, propelling cinema that stays with you and keeps you immersed. It's long yes, but it wastes none of its time it just keeps filling you with hope that we still have auteurs to be discovered in the USA.
