This movie is strange and thats the point.
From what I have seen, yorgos' movies are built on very strange and uncomfortable ideas and worlds with no acknowledgment of this strangeness. The lack of acknowledgment makes the world somehow weirder but also more immersive with an uncomfortable effect. I believe this is what makes the whole child brain adult sex thing so problematic to people; 'why is nobody is saying anything about this?'
