With breathtaking landscapes, the glassworker coalesces as a true feat of visual excellence. However, the writing left much to be desired.

An intoxicating visual recollection. One, of course, not to be perceived as a biography, rather a folded gander into the vibrant study of Sayat-Nova's mind. The film's composition held an emphasis upon the way Sayat-Nova endured the world, creating a portal into the poet's melancholic works, his wide religious embrace, not particularly preached, rather a reverence to something unseen, and the remaining room abandoned to romanticism. While sustaining consequence on the poet's relationships with women, especially his muse, the film imports regard to the poet's own culture with a flooring portrayal of religion, all with a shadow of the Armenian genocide.

thoroughbreds starts as the anatomy of a transactional bond, but swells into substance. to watch a character, amanda, who allows for the presence of danger if palpable, alongside the texture of an anxious character, lily, is almost surreal. the film's layering of domestic control, and its complex construction of blame was remarkable.
