for what it lacks in pretty much any substance whatsoever it slightly makes up for it by being very pretty and having good music!
would have liked it better without the half baked commentary on class, but did chuckle at “slurping” appearing in the subtitles multiple times
The performances in this were absolutely amazing. But I wish they leaned into the musical aspect more because those were the scenes I thought shined the most, especially with the wonderful choreography. There were so many excellent songs from the musical that were cut in this adaptation and I think this could have really benefited from even the transitional songs. There were a lot of pacing problems and odd tonal shifts that I feel could have easily been solved by just… not cutting half of the songs from the musical.

what i was not anticipating was that the final survivor would be the lesbian. truly transcendent.
