Singin' in the Rain 1952
i have the BIGGEST FATTEST smile on my face right now. how could you not after watching this? this is genuinely a masterclass on how to properly execute a movie musical, and it’s perfect! debbie reynolds might be the most charming woman ever, she brought so much youth and light to this film. musicals in all forms are so magical and this reminded me why i love this form of media so much. truly so much fun, so creative, and incredibly well made for its time. my favorite songs are obviously the title track, make ‘em laugh, and good morning!

Despite all of the hype that this film has gotten, all of the press tours, and even down to the Barbie outfits that Margot replicated.. through all of this Barbie still lived up to the incredibly high expectations that were given to it by all of us.
