A gorgeous character portrait of a sociopath. Frankly, this is worth watching for Jake Gyllenhaal alone -- even if you don't take into account the 20-pound weight loss, between the non-blinking bug eyes and the self-help crib notes he is fantastically creepy.

I'm a huge sucker for narratives about narratives.
