Emilia Perèz is a movie set (mostly) in Mexico populated by (mostly) Mexican characters, but this is undercut by the fact that the Director and writer of the film, Jacques Audiard, is French. Doesn’t speak a lick of Spanish, and doesn’t know Mexican culture.
