'Mr Nobody' can't decide whether it wants to be a sci-fi, a family drama or a soppy (multi)love-story. Not my most favourite Visconti. Thematically it's quite decidedly a product of its time; family drama and incest in a greek tragedian setting and a deteriorating bourgeois upper-class. I'm not sure the main lead is fully capable of carrying the weight of Sandra. Her stern stare, in all its beauty, loses credibility (her brother compensates greatly though).
