  Thoughts on Aftersun:

  1. I’ve never known so little about two people while caring so deeply for them
  2. I don’t think anyone has ever implied something so complex this subtly and beautifully before 
  3. I would like to, as a term of endearment, be referred to as “poppet” from now on
  4. These characters do an amazing job at reminding you to make the most of every moment

  The Fabelmans 2022

  Watched this movie for a second time and added half a star to my original rating. Once I had time to accept the fact that the movie wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, I came back at it with a different perspective. Spielberg is clearly an expert at his craft. The way he shows how he himself came to love movies while weaving in lots of personal drama is captivating. It challenges you by showing you what someone who truly puts all of their heart into their passion looks like.
