Powerful performances. Thought provoking and stimulating especially as a parent. I cried so much at the end of ep 4.

The long shots were masterfully done. The ability to hone in and out of each characters performance to focus on the emotion portrayed is next level.

Owen Cooper, where did you come from lad?

Stephen Graham, my hats off and I’m sat.

Seeing that this came out the same year as Domino, lets you know that Keira was absolutely WORKING the early 2000’s era.

Also, this movie is 100x and one whole star better than The Notebook 🥰

    Joon-ho,

No notes. You’ve done it again. I wanna be your bestie, love ya.

This is such a beautiful telling of a pertinent time in American History. That most people think they know by now. Seen through the eyes of victims of harsh times not only do you experience pain but also beauty, imagination, uncertainty, love, friendship and often times, fear.

The pov views were done so creatively, and albeit intentionally experimental but, with a certain respectful nod to the obscure. Which works so well.
