The longest film I've seen in years, but it never felt like it dragged which was a positive initial impression after watching it. A second was that much of the cinematography really was stunning. The highlights for me were the disorienting but euphoric upside down shot of the statue of liberty at the start, the aerial shot of the train derailment and explosion, and the shot of the completed reading room when Laslo and Atilla open the symmetrical wooden bookcases.…

Entertaining, surprisingly profound and full of those rapid zooms that always tickle me. Loved seeing each chamber and the monk testing him on one specific skill. Everything I hoped it would be and more

Definitely the best Pixar film and the second best animated film of all time imo (see my list for more details). Just irrepressibly lovely throughout and almost makes me want to try more french food, but not quite enough for me to actually do it.

Also, been lot of chat about long legs from the boys on here lately and the director of that should take notes on this film bc the villain here has the lankiest pins in the game 🦵

Every bit as loud as they said it was. Very good though, especially Cillian Murphy and the music. Only slight gripe is that it felt a bit like a montage in certain places with all the quick cutting between scenes and periods. The scene where they test the bomb is phenomenal though, but pretty sure the bass at the light almost killed the old dear sitting in the row in front of me, bless her
