Nice surprise to the end of the year, look forward the see where they take this… don’t always enjoy Zack Snyder films but this felt like it took all the good parts of the sci fi genre and made it fast paced packing in loads of detail but maintained its momentum although the ending felt a bit rushed it’s probably just to build up for part 2

Interesting parallels between his book idea on ant colonies and cancel culture. How fame affects people’s ego, people only want you for your gimmick “do the thing”. Hitting on inevitably staying true to yourself, how actions have consequences. “The nail that sticks out gets hammered first” theme runs throughout. Typical A24 production seamless mix of slick comedy with dark undertones and a complex illusive plot that unravels over time. Nicolas Cage was spot on with this performance, hilarious and awkward, comedic timing on point. The fart cum scene had me in stitches. Top notch 👌
