  I liked this film.

  I don't think it clicked 100% with me. I saw Pineapple Express and whilst I also enjoyed that and it was funny, I thought the same about it. Something was not right but I can't put my finger on it. Maybe I need to be super high to find Seth's films side-splitting or something.

  This film got a little silly at times too (when in Pineapple Express it seemed justified)…

  Man of Steel 2013

  Man of Steel is a hard one to love. There are quite a few problems with this film that got in the way of it being a great movie. A few examples would be:

  1. The script - there is none, really. I feel like every line in this film was pulled out of Hollywood Script Writer 3000™, it's bland, really bland.

  2. The destruction - Generic City is getting destroyed again but this time 5 skyscrapers at a time…

  I woud love this film to bits if it ended 30 minutes earlier. There is a moment when it would perfectly end, but then it's dragged out for ages after. Shame. Samuel L. Jackson a particular high-point.
