film bro in progress
i WILL rant about literally any movie i like for 3 hours if given the chance
The Mac DeMarco arcade scene might have made me smile like a fucking child....
I think it's a great movie, a bit odd and definitely a bit cringey at times with some of the dialogue choices but it grew on me a lot especially around the halfway point as I see a lot of people mention, plus it adds to the whole vibe of the film. It's kind of part of the whole punk thing to be a bit odd…
Back in 2022 I planned to watch this movie because Andrew Garfield was in it, and the use of the expression "fuck you flip flops" alone was enough to pique my interest so much for the film to still be on my mind now, in 2025.
Watching it now, I have to admit my reasons were more in line with "finding more ways in which mark Zuckerberg is a cunt" and I sure did find them.
I found it especially…
"It was me, murph, I was your ghost"
Third or fourth time I watch this film and I swear it only gets better the more times I see it. Cried like a baby as I did the other times I saw it. 10/10
I watched this move for the first time when I was around 11 or 12 years old and it blew my mind and kickstarted my love for cinema. I watched it again this year in theatres because of the 10th anniversary and somehow it blew my mind again.
And I'm sure that when I watch for the third time, it'll find a way to keep blowing my mind and making me cry
Probably one of the best movies I've ever seen. Also visually stunning. I found myself staring with my jaw dropped at how astoundingly beautiful some scenes were.
