Terrible pace, terrible "plot", decent acting, fantastic setting and honestly the animatronics looked incredible. Would love to see the setting revisited with someone who knows how to make a good horror/thriller movie.
A fantastically surprising and hilarious buddy cop movie from the last two guys I'd expect to see side-by-side in a buddy-cop/whodunit/comedy movie. I feel like this one went completely under the radar and was really able to highlight Gosling's ability as a comedic actor and peel away at Crowe's tough looking exterior. Not to mention the actually interesting and mysterious plot that keeps you involved with tasteful interjections of physical and heady comedy. A solid 9/10 that I've watched many, many times.

One of my favorite Ferrell roles, incredible performance as the straight man from such a prolific comedian. An interesting take on looking at the longevity of art vs value of a human life and a unique look at what it truly means to live. Screenplay is fantastic, some of the best dialogue I've seen in the last 20 years of cinema. Not to mention a top 5 romantic gesture from a move I wouldn't even consider a rom-com. Definitely an underrated gem that really deserves a watch.
Wes Anderson is 2/2 on "Should've stopped after Isle of Dogs". I don't know what it is but it feels like his style is getting in the way of writing and storytelling. While his previous films were great, fun stories seen through his highly stylized lens, this feels like a stylized lens pointed at a terribly uninteresting and poorly written story. A fantastic ensemble cast entirely wasted on Wes Anderson tapping the glass and trying much too hard to push form over function. It's a very pretty movie that's saying next to nothing.
