  This movie falls into my favourite sub-genre that I’ve previously mentioned in my reviews: heavily mentally ill men that I feel bad for (depending on the million different ways you could interpret this movie, it could also not fall into this category whatsoever). So many other things to like about the movie though, specifically the line “First of all: Papa Smurf didn't create Smurfette - Gargamel did”. Very glad I was recommended to watch this via a random conversation with a coworker that included topics such as the ratatouille soundtrack, and tears for fears
