I had promised myself that I would never watch this movie, but oh well. The concept of this movie scared me, a cult that condones suicide of the old, believes in group sex, and sacrifices their own members. It is an extremely twisted movie that makes me never want to go to Sweden. Ari Aster did a phenomenal job directing the movie. Hereditary is a psychological horror movie that is known for its tightly written script. Similar to Rosemary’s Baby and Get Out, there are clues all throughout the movie that foreshadow what will happen. In order to catch them all, you have to watch the movie like a detective.
