too predictable for a thriller but loved the way it addresses serious global injustice. chai’s performance is “exemplary work”, if you know what i mean.

how have i never seen this before??? i did not expect my ruined attention span to be able to sit through this without getting distracted but quentin put smth special in this one. the dialogue, the side profile shots, the suspense, the soundtrack (!) - it all WORKS! although i’m still a bit confused by the heavy focus on feet. and the fact that robert de niro rarely stole the spotlight. AND samuel’s goatee. also can we talk about michael keaton as a cop? i can’t.
