The Brutalist 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
A complex story of an imperfect victim. The size of this film is immense. It's runtime may seem long but it's size really comes from the amount of life it captures in that time. It's characters are layered, repressing their trauma. We see the result of that repression for some things, others leave a cold nonresponse to trauma. Even the brutalist architecture at the core of this film is to build to be unaffected by it's surrounding reality.

They Talk 2021
Every character has a foreign accent but it's supposed to take place in Missouri. There wasn't anything about this film that was improved by its setting so I have no idea why they even tried to lie about it.
The plot was honestly nonsensical with the funniest scene of a ghost nun shanking a person.
