So far I'm loving the Steven Soderbergh/David Koepp partnership. Long may it last.
Also grateful that this got to be made as a slim and sexy 93-minute film instead of a bloated, meandering, and overplotted 8-hour TV show it would've been on Netflix.
Fassbender is cold as ice throughout, yet also pulls off “devoted husband who will do anything for his wife” splendidly. Blanchett is equally splendid and sly in her performance; cool, confident and professional while still convincing the viewer of Kathryn’s devotion and love for her husband. Shouldn’t be a surprise then that they ace on the chemistry front together too.
