actually have had a week from hell and was going to put on a depressing film to wallow in but chose happiness and i’m glad i did. curled up in my mum’s bed watching my great nana’s dvd copy of this with my babies (jellycats) is just what i needed

genuinely how can this be nominated for 13 oscars. to make a musical about something so devastating and serious completely strips it of all power. negative trans representation, songs are abysmal, hardly anyone involved in this film is even mexican, director openly admitted to doing minimal research for this. absolutely appalled
the ONLY credit i could give it is the performance from saldaña and sometimes the visuals
