    As a recovering anorexic, I get the whole "body mod in pursuit of perfection" schtick, so themes like these tend to wash over me anyway, but if there had been even a single likeable character in this film, I could have turned the other cheek & been marginally entertained. This even felt weak in terms of body horror in general. Everything just felt very middle-of-the-road bland, but if you're looking for a "gateway drug" on the road to more hard-hitting gruesomeness, I guess you could likely do worse. Meh.

    If you're going to base your entire movie on a "body horror" premise, you need to step up and commit. The plain fact is that, two people supposedly stitched together abdominally are not going to be able to move the way the two leads did. Close ups suggest tight stitching close to the skin, and yet the pair are seen in many shots standing almost beside each other, and at one point "David" is practically *behind* Sara.

    I felt a little hoodwinked by this, because as it became less and less about "Heiress Culture" in 2000s NYC, which I remember firsthand, and more about James Kurisunkal's/Morgan Olivia Rose's (who I never even heard of, let alone remember) personal experience transitioning from an everyday blogger guy to a glamorous female faux-cialite, it just made me feel like it was trying to pull me in two separate directions.
