Opus 2025
Opus is well-composed and confidently directed, but it never digs deeper than its surface-level weirdness, making its eccentricities feel empty rather than provocative. Ayo Edebiri is infinitely talented, but even she struggles against a script that keeps her performance strangely flat and restrained. It looks great and flirts with big ideas, but in the end, it’s just another remix of a song we’ve heard too many times before.

Anchored by Robert Pattinson’s mesmerizing performance and Bong Joon-ho’s visionary direction, every frame bursts with creative energy and flawless execution, cementing its status as an unforgettable cinematic experience.

The Strangers: Chapter 1 2024

However, amidst its shortcomings, there are glimpses of potential.…

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022
Mindy Meeks-Martin would have hated this film.
Beyond Texas Chainsaw Massacre's gore and neon aesthetic, lays an empty and utterly useless entry in the franchise. The script just feels like a SparkNotes version of Halloween (2018) and the third act is an absolute joke. While it is far from a perfect film, I did enjoy the practical effects that were used for the kills.
