Holy wow
Beautifully written and directed by Stephen Graham who also stars as Jamie’s dad. A story which highlights the continuing and growing issue with young boys/men surrounding toxic masculinity and the mistreatment of women. The recent movement that Andrew Tate has stirred within male adolescents is clearly a big motivator for this series as well as “incel” culture.
Don’t be stupid and think this is an “anti men”, we see this story from all sides, and steers away from…
The main family is the best part of this movie. Their dynamic is perfect and adds some great comedic beats to the movie.
Most of the middle school stuff, while relatable, is kinda dull and doesn’t elevate the movie very much. At the end of the day it’s a kids movie that I wanted to rewatch for nostalgia.
No Lincoln Park, a true stain on the Michael Bay legacy.
Sick action sequences though, more cheesy ass lines and what you’d expect from these movies
Shia Labeof is exceptionally unhinged in this movie

Same flaws from the first film but more than double the cool big robot boom boom fights
Some decent comedy as well
