  I miss when themes and messages in film were subtle, and suggested. Not aggressively forced down your throat, just for the filmmaker to say “you didn’t like that did ya! Good, you weren’t supposed to, you fucking idiot!”  
  Alex Garland makes himself look absolutely silly, while trying so hard to come off as intelligent. His allegories (in not just this film, but in either of his previous movies) are so on the nose in what they’re representing, but somehow…

  Dune: Part Two 2024

  I’m going to need to watch this again, but it’s been a minute since a movie has sat with me for days, especially a film on such a grand scale.

  Maybe a masterpiece, definitely better than the first one, and an amazing sequel.

  Was never sold on Butler as a movie star until right now, his Feyd is fucking epic, and easily the best performance in the picture. 

  Visually the best looking blockbuster since Way of Water.
