  This movie was amazing, although it's hard to tell you exactly what it was about.

  Central to appreciating this film and his other works is approach. Tarkovsky isn't capturing a story that happens to take place in time. He is sculpting time. In his camera, grains of sand are slowly chiseled from an hour glass. His films are simply the remnants of what was not cut and forgotten.

  The supposed line between past and present, real and fantastical, is severed…
