  when it gets hot in los angeles i’m reminded of three things: ice cold jamaica, Almost Gothic by Steely Dan, and Chinatown. If there is one feeling i associate with this movie it is that of futility.

  I watched this in a class a few years ago after reading the novel, and was only reminded of it because i saw someone else review it.

  I think it was a great adaptation, however i do think the book was better. The film didn’t seem to grasp the desolation the book portrayed. nevertheless good flick i like the monkeys 🦧
