The Barbarians 1987
Can’t believe this film would allow me to fall in love with the Sorceress. Why? Because it’s her only film credit (according to Letterboxd) and I will not be rewatching this film again any time soon. Ruined.

In the Lost Lands 2025
I wish it had less sequences. There’s too many underbaked story beats that would’ve been cooler if they were longer/more epic. It’s PWSA, so you know what you’re getting and if you like that, you’ll probably like this. I’d argue it never reaches his highs, but it never dips below his lows. Middle of the road: 3 stars.
It looks cool as hell minus the B-Grade CGI.

I read up that this film was critically divisive upon release. Describing it as “overly stylistic” is absolute insanity. In more recent times it has been described as “dated”. Whilst I can understand that judgement with the jarring jump cuts in the final moments, none of this feels outdated. It’s beautiful. Excellent film.
