How far can you stray from the tropes of a vampire and it still be a vampire? Big fangs? No. Big mustache, yes. Cape? No. Big Russian hat? Yes. Biting the neck? No. Slurping down on the chest cavity, yes. De-aging and becoming a fine looking gentleman in London (see Gary Oldman), no. Looking like a corpse with chicken legs, yes.
